Hydrotreating Catalyst for Resid

Function/Application

Hydrotreating Resid hydrotreating

Composition/Material

Basic information

Resid oil hydrotreating catalysts for fuel oil production and RFCC pretreatment
Usually, multiple catalysts HDM, transition and HDS are combined to use to remove heavy metal and sulfur compounds simultaneously.
CDS-R series: HDS catalysts for residue oil
CDS-RS series: HDM/Transition/HDS catalysts for residue oil

Features/Characteristics

HDM catalysts have a large pore size and pore volume which can be diffused large hydrocarbon molecule, and can hold heavy metals.
They have high metal holding capacity and can apply the heavier feedstock such as VR(vacuum residue) containing feed.
They can also be applied to the catalysts for the pretreating of diesel/VGO hydrotreating in order to remove Si and As which is the poison substances.

Transition catalysts have large pores and highly dispersed active sites, so they can perform both HDM and HDS activity.
They are placed between HDM and HDS catalysts to facilitate the effective hydrotreating reaction of heavy oils.

HDS catalysts have highly dispersed active sites to promote hydrodesulfurization reactions of heavy oils and show high performance to reduce CCR.
