Silica sol/Alumina sol

Cataloid is the water-dispersed sol of silica particles and alumina particles.
Using our nanoparticle preparation technology, which is one of our core technologies, we are able to offer a line-up of products with various particle sizes, particle distributions, and shapes.
By assigning a range of functions based on the particle sizes, particle distributions, and shapes, we have created products that can be used across a wide range of fields.

Examples of application

Polishing

Due to the uniform particle size and spherical shape, it is possible to obtain a precisely polished surface with minimal scratches for various base materials.
Particles of variant shapes, which are expected to further improve polishing rete, are also available.

Binder for forming ceramic

The OH group on the surface of the particles bind and harden through the drying and the firing process.

Texture application

Texture is applied to the surface of the base material, giving it qualities such as anti-blocking and non-slip properties.

Inorganic paints

It is then added to paints to give it the properties of hardness and hydrophilicity.
