JGC C&C’s catalyst carriers include silica, alumina, silica-alumina, silica-calcia, and zeolite, and are used widely in sectors such as petroleum refining and petrochemicals.

Catalyst Carriers
Silica
- High-purity silica tablet catalyst that was previously considered difficult to mold.
- Has excellent pressure and abrasion resistance.
- Used widely as a carrier that is used for fixed-bed catalysts.
Alumina
- Mostly does not contain impurities, especially sodium and silicon.
- The tablet and ring forms have excellent pressure and abrasion resistance.
- Widely used as a carrier that is used for fixed-bed catalysts.
- Also used for dehydration reactions, and as adsorbent and desiccant.
Silica-alumina
- Has high surface area.
- Used in isomerization, alkylation, polymerization reaction etc. as a solid acid catalyst. It is also used as the base material for hydrocracking catalyst in oil refining.
- Used widely in various reactions as a multi-functional catalyst that is made to support a wide variety of active ingredients.
- Can also apply to the adsorbents.
- JGC C＆C can study forming (extrudate, tablet) and customizing the properties based on customer's needs.
- The tablet form has excellent pressure and abrasion resistance.
Silica-calcia
- Has high pore volume.
- Used widely in isomerization reactions.
Zeolite
- Exhibits high crystallinity and high hydrothermal stability.
- Can apply to catalysts and adsorbents as functional materials.
- JGC C＆C has manufactured high quality USY zeolite with proprietary preparation technology for over 50 years.
